See large wild animals in their natural habitat from the safari vehicle. The reserve is 572km² which makes it big enough to keep herds of wild elephants.
Due to the reserve’s size – it is located approximately 2 hours away from Johannesburg, however, the drive is well worth it not only for the animals but the unique ancient volcanic landscape. The scenery on the way there is also interesting becuase we will pass a few platinum mines, the Magaliesburg Mountain range and the Hartebeespoort dam
On this safari your guide will take you on a morning safari drive, followed by a lunch break stop and then an afternoon safari drive before returning to Johannesburg. There is a lovely restaurant in the reserve. Alternatively, you are welcome to pack a picnic or you can request a picnic hamper at an additional fee.

Great experience! I went on safari to Pilanesberg with my guide Janine. She was very knowledgeable about the park and all the different animals. We saw giraffe, rhinos, elephants, hippos, zebras and tons of other animals. Highly recommended company to go with!
