(Includes all transport and entrance fees but excludes lunch)
Bring, a warm jacket / windbreaker, swimming costume and towel (optional swim with the penguins at Boulders Bay), sunglasses and a hat. Get your camera ready (and spare batteries or power bank) to photograph the amazing scenery throughout the day!
In the morning you will be collected by your guide in a spacious air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy the views of Table Mountain, Lions Head, Cape Town city and Robben Island from Signal hill. Then we will meander down the hill to see the lovely beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. This is where you will meet the “twelve apostles” a famous mountain view with twelve different folds.
Then we will head off to Hout Bay, the relaxed coastal town people love to retire to. Enjoy the white sands and blue beach view and look for sea lions. Hop on a short boat ride to seal island to see seals which is a fun adventure on the sea in a medium sized boat.
Drive along the famous Chapman’s peak drive for beautiful sea views and we will make a stop at Noordhoek Farm Village where you can browse and buy many locally made products.
After a short stop we will go to Cape Point which is a beautiful mountainous national park. In this park you can look for baboons, ostriches, and many species of antelope. At the Cape of Good Hope you will see the tip of the continent and get amazing views of the sea. (Pro-Tip It can be extremely windy with a chilly wind so take your windbreakers and be careful your caps don’t blow away!)
We still have more wildlife to see, such as penguins, at Boulders Beach. This is South Africa’s only colony of wild penguins and tourism helps to pay for their continued conservation. Take a relaxing walk along the scenic wooden boardwalk over their nests to view them and take pictures. For those brave enough to swim in the freezing water you might get a chance depending on timing and the weather to swim at Boulders Beach.
By this time, you will have worked up an appetite so we will go to the historic and picturesque Simon’s town and Kalk Bay harbour for a delicious lunch in a seashore restaurant. (Lunch not included)
After lunch stroll through the magical Kirstenbosch botanical gardens against a magnificent mountain backdrop. At the end of the tour, your guide will drop you back off at your hotel or any location you request in the city.
