Terms and Conditions

By paying a deposit to confirm your tour booking you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed below unless specifically stipulated as an “exception” on special request.

Bookings Procedure:

50% deposit 48 hours ahead of tour to confirm the booking.

Payment Procedure:

50% deposit before tour.

50% of the payment accepted on collection of guests on the day of the tour.

Changes to bookings:

If changes to the itinerary are requested less than 24 hours ahead of the tour a 5% admin fee will be added onto the tour price

Cancellation

• Cancellation less than 48 hours before the tour – deposit is non-refundable
  (unless the cancellation meets the “special conditions for refund”)
• Should the booking be cancelled more than 48 hours ahead of the tour then a 100% refund on the deposit unless expenses such as car rentals, accommodation or non-refundable tickets were purchased in which case these will be deducted and the balance refunded.

Special Conditions for Refund

• In the event of a hard lockdown preventing a tour – the tour will be postponed. If this is not possible then the full deposit will be refunded
• If a tour is cancelled due to illness, then a doctor’s note will be required to motivate for a full deposit refund. Alternatively, the tour can be postponed to a later date at no loss of deposit on the condition that any prepayments on car rentals, tickets etc. can also be postponed. If these could not be claimed back from the relevant service providers that were paid in advance of the tour then these amounts will be deducted and the rest of the deposit refunded.
• If a tour or activity is halted suddenly during the course of the tour due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond our control such as acts of God, political unrest, adverse weather or traffic incidents then an alternative itinerary will be recommended and should that itinerary be accepted then no refund will be processed. Should this alternate itinerary not be accepted then the clients will be dropped off at their requested drop off point and a 50% refund will be processed.

Group Tours Please note:

• Large group tours (more than 4 people) will depart from one specified location and guests need to arrive to that location 15 minutes prior to departure time.
• Please use the restroom before departure as there is not always an easily accessible toilet on the way
• No extra stops not allocated for by the itinerary will be considered.
• Tour participants can be dropped off at a different location than the pick up location after the tour if they provide that exact address 48 hours before the tour otherwise drop off will be at the pick up location

Safety Protocol:

Your guide is trained to interpret animal behaviour and follow the rules of the roads. For your safety please adhere to given safety instructions. In the event that during the tour the guide decides that a certain course of action would be not be advisable in the interest of safety, See My Country Safaris reserves the right to discontinue the tour or activity immediately or alter the tour itinerary accordingly. (See Clause 4.3.3 under special conditions for refund)

Indemnity:

Participants in tours and activities do so entirely at their own risk. By paying the deposit to confirm a tour, participants agree to indemnify See my Country Safaris including the directors, shareholders, employees, representatives, and any service providers that See My Country Safaris has booked with and will not hold any of the above mentioned parties liable for any damage, loss, injury or death which may result from any activity, accident, circumstance or incident occurring during or after or as a result of any tour with See My Country Safaris. On paying the deposit the participant hereby accepts the risks inherent in travel and waives any right to any claim or compensation for any such loss or incident, whatever the nature and cause.
