Janine has always loved nature especially animals since she was a child. Her first memory of a safari experience was at age three, sitting on the armrest in the car to get a better view of the lions below eating a kill they just made.

At age eight she vowed to become a game ranger (safari guide) and well the rest is history. When she completed high school she took a gap year to study her FGASA and then worked at two wildlife lodges to gain more practical experience. She went to university to study tourism and ended up graduating with a BSc. in natural sciences.

Her hobbies include blogging, running, yoga, volunteering to help people and animals, studying the secrets of the universe and travel. She is also passionate about fundraising for at risk animals and skills development in South Africa.

She plans on completing further studies in FGASA and tour operation management.
